A heart that knows an emptiness . . .
that comes from deep within.
Will spend its days and lonely nights . . .
searching for what might have been.

But when you have a heart that knows . . .
the life it keeps is loved.
By the hands that did create it . . .
then released it like a dove.

You'll search for words to shout your praise . . .
but none will tell the peace.
Long awaited tears will flow . . .
as you feel love that does not cease.

A heart that knows He watches
as it beats the moments of your life . . .
will burst with joy and freedom,
and celebrate the end of strife.

Yes, there comes a peace . . .
your heart can barely hold it in.
"No!" shouts the enemy,
as he fights . . .for the heart
now turned from sin.

A heart that knows no sorrow,
a heart that knows no pain . . .
will live a life so empty
it will have lived in vain.

There is no joy for the heart
that beats outside the love of God.
You will not find it anywhere . . .
no matter where your feet will trod.

Cradled in grace and heavenly light,
held in the palm from which it came.
A peaceful heart comes only from
the One who on the throne of heaven reigns.

The enemy will attack you . . .
he'll make you think you're missing life.
But just the mention of the name of Jesus
will wound him like a knife.

You are free! Oh, what a wondrous thing!
Free to have a heart that knows . . .
He is preparing for all the places
that your heart, in this life, must go.

Your heart knows . . . He is watching!
His eyes are never off his precious daughters.
He makes us to lie down in green pastures . . .
and leads us beside the still waters.

Praise God, I am His!

"

The lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside the still wters.
He restores my soul." He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies,
You anoint my head with oil, My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever."

Psalm 23
