welcome
sol*i*tude (noun) -
the state or situation of being alone: a lonely or uninhabited place.

When I am in need of solitude,
lonely isn't what I feel.
It's just that need to have my thoughts . . .
in a place where life is still.

Where all the noise and babble . . .
can give way to quiet thought.
That place in time where my heart and soul
can touch the things they've sought.

Oh, . . . I realize that for each one . . .
this place is different in its scope.
But when you find it you'll know for sure....
because it's filled with hope.

Solitude, . . . to be with God.
Solitude, to be with me.
Solitude to take the time to . . .
look inside and clearly see.

Oh, I've missed so many things . . .
rushing without notice past my heart . . .
As wind skipping on a pond.
Fingers dancing on a harp.

That's when I know my life's become . . .
a hurried, bustling blur.
My heart calls out for 'solitude' . . .
Inside, I feel a stir.

Solitude . . . my heart calls out.
The word whispers past my ear.
Solitude . . . my special place, . . .
that offers calm and cheer.

Find it, go! It's waiting there . . . Don't deny yourself this place.
For the longing that you feel inside
is God slowing the frantic pace.

How will you and I ever find a way . . . this daily life to bear,
If we don't find this place of 'solitude' . . .
filled with God's love and endless care.

"One hour of thoughtful solitude may nerve the heart for days of conflict
- girding up its armor to meet the most insidious foe." - Percival

"I'll share with you my place of solitude. It's filled with memories of love and warmth. My swing is where I love to go, in the early morning. In the cool evenings. It's here, with pen in hand, I continue my 'neverending conversation with God'. We talk of so many things. I find myself able to be honest with him in my journal. My pen moves across the page, the ink forming my dreams, my tears, my hopes, my prayers. It's in my solitude that I find my Father's hand. We talk. We draw near. Without this place of 'Solitude' . . . I don't know how I could face another day.

Woman to woman, I urge you - find your place of Solitude'. It's there, waiting for you to sit. Think. Pray. Write. Find your place. And, if at times, you need that place and you cannot physically get there. Your heart will remember the peace and calm found there. It will remember and . . . you'll be there.
For it's your place alone
. . . your's and God's." I cannot tell you what peace you will find there.
