My heart is very troubled
my soul cries out to God.
There is no one living person
who can keep us safe upon this sod.

For it is ONLY God our Father
whose favor looks upon this land.
If we do not keep our eyes on Him
we will find it's alone that we will stand.

Don't take away your covering!
Don't remove your loving grace.
You hear the words of Your godly people
and our footsteps You can trace.

Am I more concerned with issues
which will fade away with time?
Or am I willing to stand upon Your Word,
not be blinded by the words of man?

Free choice was given me by God
to make decisions as I see fit.
Weigh the words and actions of the man
who in the leader's chair will sit.

Weigh them against our Father's word
How closely do they match?
My choice must be made by this alone,
or my freedom will be snatched.

Oh, Father, touch each heart and soul.
Give us wisdom as we choose.
"Choose carefully, my child."
or God's favor we will lose.

My God, your Name is woven into this land
As the wool within the cloth.
Can we stand and watch as strands are taken,
one by one ~ as if eaten by a moth.

Where were we as each strand's been pulled?
American's, how did we watch and wait
As, one by one, God's been removed.
Don't we know what is at stake?

We are standing at the 'Crossroads'
A difference in tomorrow we still can make.
You have given us free choice to use.
Keep us aware what is at stake!

Satan clouds our minds with issues right and left.
Anger and deception fill the air we breathe.
My free choice will tell the story
Did I keep GOD in American ...

Is America still free?

FACT: Until the 20th century, America collectively believed that she was founded upon Christian principles. But the 1900's brought an onslaught against our faith that has shaken this country's foundation to the very core.

"We cannot be good American citizens if we are inadequate Christians. Nor can we be good followers of Christ if we shirk our civic duties."

Dr. Charles Stanley
