The child whispered "God, if you're there, talk to me"
And a meadolark sang
But the child did not hear.

So the child yelled "God are you there?"
And the thunder rolled across the sky
But the child did not listen

The child looked around and said "God, I want to see you."

And the flowers grew . . .
But the child only noticed their beauty.

And the child shouted "God I want to see a miracle"
As she played in the lush fields and ate of the sweet fruits,
taking in the wonders of nature.

Somehow knowing there was an in-born need,
the child cried out in despair
"Touch me God. I want to know you are here!"

Whereupon God reached down and touched the child,

But the child brushed the butterfly away and
ran off in search of God.

God's children miss out on so many blessings because we have a preconceived idea of what His 'miracles' should look like. There are miracles all around us . . . begin to notice what God is doing in your life. Don't allow satan to steal your joy.

So much is missed because we simply rush about in our busy day and don't see that God is with us, even in the very small things. Take the time to see God all around you.
Journaling is a marvelous way for you to highten your awareness of His presence in your life. It allows you not only to spend time with God, but to see God's Hand in your life. It is truly a wondrous experience. There in your own handwiting... is your walk with God. Your faith grows and grows. You'll find that assurance of what a faithful Father we have.
